During these days, academics and students from the Department of Medical Physics and Department of Experimental Particle Physics and Applications exchanged experiences and knowledge in the field of radiation detection techniques developed for basic physics, food control, medical diagnostics and biology applications. The conference was an opportunity to present the latest research results orally by:
- prof. Ewa Ł. Stępień, entitled "Anti-aging strategies or how to stop the biological clock (education lecture)";
- dr Katarzyna Dziedzic-Kocurek, entitled "The use of Moessbauer spectroscopy in biophysical studies”;
- dr Bartosz Leszczyński, entitled “Analysis of melanoma metastasis development using micro-CT”;
- dr Magdalena Marzec, entitled “ToF-SIMS as a tool for the analysis of differences in lipid profiles in extracellular vesicles and cells secreting them”;
- Ermias Yitayew Beyene, pt. “Dual isotope image reconstruction using the modular J-PET detector”;
- Mrs. Agata Grabska, entitled “Comparison of the fresh and fixed blood cloths with PALS technique”.

The conference was organized with the financial support of INFN-LNG, Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Centrum Teranostyki, the Foundational Questions Institute (grant No. FQXi-RFP-CPW-2008), the John Templeton Foundation (grant 62099), the STRONG-2020 EU project (grant no. 824093), the MITIQO project n.
