As part of the financing from the ATOMIN 2 project, a spectral cytometry system consisting of a Sony spectral cytometer (Spectral Cell Analyzer ID7000™) with a sorting module (Cell Sorter SH800S) was purchased for the Laboratory of Theragnostics at The Center for Tharanostics (https://centhe.id.uj.edu.pl/).
Installation
On November 23-25, 2022, the installation of the Spectral Cell Analyzer ID7000™ /Cell Sorter SH800S system and basic user training were carried out.
Installation and maintenance training was conducted by Rudolf Bichele from Sony and Dr Ewa Potera-Kram from Cytologic (device supplier).

User training

The spectral cytometer is equipped with 4 lasers: Violet laser 405nm, Blue laser 488nm, Yellow-green laser 561nm, Red laser 637nm. The sorting module is equipped with a 488 nm blue laser.
The equipment will be used for:
- analysis of expression of surface markers of extracellular vesicles {EVs} isolated from beta-pancreatic cells {cell line 1.1B4} and endothelium {TIME, HUVEC}
- characteristics of cells isolated from catheters and blood of patients with pulmonary circulatory diseases
- expression analysis of tumor markers {CD146, uPAR and others}
- studies on the degree of glycosylation of surface proteins of cells and extracellular vesicles {EVs}.
